Milliken Skatepark is a 14,000-square-foot concrete park in Milliken, Colorado, built around one thing above all else: flow. Originally developed by Evergreen Skateparks, the park has a distinctly creative layout that moves away from the typical straight street-plaza design and instead strings together bowls, banks, rounded transitions, ledges, hips, and rolling features into a series of interconnected lines.

The park's transition terrain is its biggest draw. A multi-pocket bowl sits at the heart of the layout, with a narrow section, smaller pockets, rounded walls, and concrete coping that give riders several different ways to approach the same terrain. Around the bowl are smooth banked turns, pump bumps, roll-ins, rounded quarter-pipe-style walls, and unusual transitions that reward riders who can maintain speed and carry momentum.

There is street terrain here as well, including concrete and metal ledges, boxes, pyramids, and other obstacles worked into the flow. However, Milliken isn't really a traditional street plaza—and that's part of what makes it interesting. The park is at its best when you stop thinking about individual obstacles and start looking for continuous lines through the entire layout.

The smooth transitions and forgiving variety of terrain make Milliken particularly good for skaters learning how to ride bowls and transition. Beginners can progress through the smaller banks and mellow features, while more experienced riders can get creative with the park's unusual shapes and interconnected lines. Longboarders and riders who enjoy carving can also get a lot out of the layout.

Milliken has a colorful personality that sets it apart from many concrete parks along Colorado's Front Range.
