Mehaffey Skatepark is a public concrete skatepark located at Mehaffey Park in Loveland, Colorado. The park offers a mix of street and transition terrain, with banks, ledges, rails, ramps, and curved concrete features that give skaters plenty of options for building lines and practicing different styles of skating.
The layout is designed to provide something for a range of skill levels. Beginners can use the smaller banks and more approachable features to work on fundamentals, while intermediate and advanced skaters can take advantage of the larger transitions, ledges, and rails for grinds, manuals, airs, and more technical tricks.
One of the park's biggest advantages is its setting within Mehaffey Park, a popular 64-acre community park with playgrounds, sports fields, trails, picnic areas, and other recreational amenities. The skatepark has a modern, open feel and plenty of room for skaters to move between features.
Mehaffey Skatepark is a solid local destination for Loveland skaters and anyone exploring the skateparks along Colorado's Front Range. Its combination of street features, transition, and a great surrounding park makes it an easy place to spend a full afternoon skating.
Skatepark Rules
- No smoking, except is designated areas.
- Inspect all skate-able areas before use.
- Protective gear (helmet, knee pads, wrist guards, etc.) is strongly recommended.
- No riding / skating during maintenance activities or when skatepark is closed.
- No adding ramps, jumps or obstacles. No modifying the skating surface.
- Food, beverages, pets and spectators are not allowed on the skating surface.
- The skatepark may be closed if :
- Any liquid other than rain, snow or hail gets on the skating surface.
- The skating surface or any part of the facility is damaged.
- Tagging, graffiti or stickers are found on the skating surface.
