The skate park is located in Discovery Park at 3701 Johnson St. (W. 38th and Kipling) in Wheat Ridge. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to sundown. The new state-of-the-art skate park is built on a hill and includes a street course and concrete bowl area with steel and pool coping. The 14,000 square foot skate park was designed and built by Team Pain.
Skatepark Rules
- USE OF THIS FACILITY IS AT YOUR OWN RISK - know your abilities! Be under control at all times. Share the park with others and avoid conflict.
- Use of safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, knee and elbow pads, wrist supports and proper shoes is recommended.
- All users are responsible for providing their own skateboard, skates and equipment and for ensuring that they are maintained in good working order.
- Use caution. Do not use the park in adverse weather conditions. Snow and ice will not be removed by the City.
- Hours of permitted use are from 8:00 a.m. to sundown. It shall be unlawful for any person to enter or remain on the premises outside the hours posted.
- The City of Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to revoke use of the facility privileges for individuals who are rowdy or do not obey the rules.
- Do not proceed down a ramp until clear of other skaters.
- Skating is allowed only in authorized areas.
- Spectators should watch from outside the skating area.
- Pets must be kept outside the skate park, on a leash and attended.

- Alcoholic Beverages
- Drugs
- Tobacco Products
- Firearms
- Fireworks
- Vandalism
- Unruly, Unsafe or Unlawful Behavior
- Graffiti
- Profanity
- Recklessness
- Rowdy Behavior
