Arvada Skatepark is the third largest skate park in the country and has hosted several large-scale skating events. The park's skating surface, which exceeds 40,000 square feet, was designed and built by Team Pain, a skate park design/build company based in Florida. The park's infrastructure and other components were completed by Urban Farmer, a local landscaping company. Together these features make this venue a top skating destination in the state.

The development and planning of the skate park included considerable public input, and the skate park team worked for five years to make the project a reality. Tireless fundraising efforts on behalf of the skate park committee, along with grants from the Colorado Lottery, Great Outdoors Colorado, Jefferson County Open Space, the Tony Hawk Foundation and other donors, enabled the $2.1 million skate park price tag to be raised. The Arvada Skate Park celebrated its grand opening in June of 2012.
