15,000 square feet of concrete for your skateboarding enjoyment. It's free, outdoors, and pads are a must! With the cop shop right across the street you'd be wise to bring your pads and helmet. It sucks to have rules like this at free skateparks, but it's not worth getting a ticket.

Concrete park with two bowls connected by a spine, a pyramid, a quarter pipe, a handrail, lots of curbs and a small hip. Stairs on one side of the bowl and another stair/wedge set built into the bowl transition with ledges on each side.

There's always a downside to most skateparks, but Carlsbad has made an effort to provide local skaters with this skatepark so they can have fun and keep out of trouble. Not much chance of anyone doing anything wrong with the police station within earshot. Hey, it's free!

Skatepark Rules
  1. Helmet, elbow pads and knee pads required.
  2. Skateboards and rollerblades only, no bicycles.
  3. No dogs allowed.
  4. Skating prohibited at Fire Stations and Safety Center.
